Truss's attempt to transplant American conservative media to Britain has aligned her more closely to divisive personalities such as John Solomon.

He set up Just the News after criticism when allegations surfaced of circulating misleading narratives about Joe Biden's anticorruption effort in the Ukraine, as well as controversial stories about ex-ambassador to the region.
